Hi I'm John, and I'm a Mormon

Hi, i'm John, and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am a positive and happy guy. I am a husband to the love of my life, father to 2 beautiful children, and am a medical sales professional. I enjoy hanging out with friends, the outdoors, and am a passionate football supporter. I work out regularly.... by wrestling and play fighting with 2 energetic kids! My faith and belief in Jesus Christ defines who I am trying to become, despite my failings and shortcomings, and most importantly in my life, provides me with a purpose for all of life's experiences.

Why I am a Mormon

I have been raised a Mormon, and I have always felt that there is something spiritual within each of us. I have felt this early in life as I learnt to pray. As a teenager I learnt to identify the spiritual feelings I had on numerous occasions, as the Holy Spirit telling me that the unseen truths i believed, were indeed real and true. In my life currently, I have many experiences that convince me that the Gospel of Jesus Christ is true. I know we are all children of God and that our experiences now in life are to ultimately change us for the better. I have read, and studied the Book of Mormon. It was when I was about 18 that studying about Jesus Christ from the Book of Mormon, changed my life, filled me with hope that I could be forgiven of my sins, and could feel at peace within myself. I have felt the Holy Spirit testify to me that Joseph Smith was a Prophet of God and in reality did speak with God and His Son Jesus Christ. That to me is amazing, to think that a man on earth stood with and spoke with God the Father and Jesus Christ. It is an important part of why i'm a Mormon.

How I live my faith

I have felt this from an early age, that there is something divine and common within all of us, we all belong to a loving God. Knowing this fills me with an awareness of how important everyone I meet is to God, and reminds me that ultimately the greatest investments I can make in life will be in human relationships. I always enjoy helping other people, and gain great satisfaction form making a positive impact in peoples lives. I have enjoyed working in the church and in my local community to serve people in a variety of ways. Ultimately my faith has greatest impact in my life, in my home. Because of my beliefs and faith in the teachings of Jesus, I find my greatest opportunities to learn and practice them each day are in the way I am with my wife and children and how I treat them.
