Hi I'm Chris

I'm a Mormon

About Me

Married Laurene Wait in the Salt Lake Temple. Helped raise 3 sons and 1 daughter. Have 14 grandchildren. Former Bishopric counselor, Stake Mission President, Elders Quorum President, High Priest assistant, and Seventy. Born in Salt Lake City, Utah, to William D. Brown and Henrietta Ploeger.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because of my testimony of Joseph Smith and the Book of Mormon being another witness to Jesus Christ. I'm a Mormon because I believe in modern day Prophets who lead and guide the Lords work on earth just as Peter, James, and John did in their time. It is nice to know that what we do today is what the Lord taught since the beginning of the world. And that nothing is new, but all has been restored.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by working with neighbors and offering help to others. I try to treat others as our savior would by friendship and love. It is enjoyable doing Home Teaching and providing for some the only contact they have to their church. It is also rewarding in helping others on how to study the scriptures, so the scriptures become more meaningful in their personal lives. I love to study the faith to gain knowledge on how the Lord is trying to provide direction to better serve and do my duties as priesthood member, citizen, and neighbor. It is very important to me showing my children, along side with my wife, the importance of have God in your life. And to exercise your beliefs through word and deed. To be in the world and grow serving God, but not of the world doing more for myself and very little for God. I live my faith by looking at everyone else as a child of God, and seeing the heritage they came from and realizing they are my spiritual brothers and sisters, who come from royality. Knowing what they can have if they will choose to follow our Savior, Jesus Christ. I live my faith honestly, because that is when I am the happiest. Living life without living my faith was not a happy chapter in my life.
