Hi I'm Melinda

I'm a book reading, cooking, adventure seeking, mom. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I grew up in California and lived there until I was 18 and moved to Idaho to go to college. I am now married with a loving husband and two adorable little girls. I enjoy reading, cooking, hiking, and spending time with my family.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because the knowledge that God loves me helps me in every aspect of my life. I know that Heavenly Father has provided a way for me to have joy beyond what I can understand now. I have a purpose in life. I want to be with my family forever. I know that there is life after death. I know my Heavenly Father wants what is best for me. I am a Mormon because I know that I want to live with my family forever and the only way for that to happen is by following God's commandments and through baptism and the temple. I want what is best for my children and I know that Heavenly Father wants what is best for all of his children.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by trying to be the best mother, wife, friend, and person that I can be. Everyday I try to be better than I was yesterday by setting goals to increase my knowledge and finding ways to serve others. In church, I work with the children whom I love very much. I love to see their faces when they learn something new and, most importantly, have the desire to help other people whether it is in their families or among their friends. I try hard to help others in my neighborhood by watching their kids, tutoring kids in school, making them a meal when they just need a little extra help, or just watering their lawn when they go on vacation. I strive as much as I can to help and serve others because everyone just needs a little help sometime and I feel good when I can help them. Through living my faith, I know that I can experience true joy.
