Hi I'm Nicholas Whitaker

I was born in Cali, raised in Utah, grew up in North Carolina. I love acting and the arts. I'm a mormon.

About Me

I lived mostly in Utah and I got into acting when I was 9 and I've LOVED it ever since. I attended Weber State University and then felt the call to serve. I'm now in the North Carolina, Charlotte mission of miracles. I love to act (film and stage), do urban acrobatics, blacksmith (weird I know), snowboard, cook, sing, guitar, and have a great time doing it.

Why I am a Mormon

This gospel and the Doctrine of Jesus Christ outlined in the New Testiment and clarified in the Book of Mormon makes more sense to me than any other Doctrine made by man. I am a "Mormon" because I belive it to be exactly what it claims to be. The Church of Jesus Christ in these latter days. Not a protestation, but a restoration of Christ's original church. Believing in a protestation of another church is like a xerox of a xerox. I find comfort and solice in receiving real revelation daily according to how the prophets and apostles in the times of old and current living prophets teach us. It is what I prayed to know, and found to be true. I urge you to try Moroni's challenge and read and pray about the Book of Mormon, see if it works for you!

How I live my faith

Right now, I'm a full time missionary, serving for 2 years for my Father in Heaven. We teach people how to strengthen their relationship with Jesus Christ and help them to feel the powerful effects of the Atonement in their life. Everyone has regrets, through Christ we can leave those regrets behind and progress our lives to our fullest potential. I serve God through serving others (Mosiah 2:17). I believe in the Book of Mormon, as well as the Bible to be the word of God. I belive in prophets, miracles and charity. I belive in Jesus Christ and I feel the Holy Spirit everyday, He is my Comforter. Do you know someone who can use Christ in their lives?

What is the priesthood?

Nicholas Whitaker
I would begin by asking yourself two questions. Do you believe Christ had Power? and, Do you believe that Christ had authority? If you have faith that the New Testament is true then you'll answer to the positive on both counts. Jesus gave, through ordination, that power and authority to His apostles. He did this to progress the church. Christ knew that he would ultimately die for our sins and atone for the world, however that would leave His church without leadership or direction. The apostles had the authority and were chosen to lead the church up until all the apostles were killed or otherwise off the Earth. That priesthood was off the Earth for a time, and wasn't back until the prophesied restoration of the church. It was given to a servant of our Father in Heaven who gave literally his life to the restoration of Christ's church. We now have that power to do Father's will, by HIS permission. The church of Jesus Christ is back. For further questions about the prophecy of the restoration, read Revelations 12. Show more Show less
