Hi I'm Lana Tongi ♥

I'm Tongan. I like to think I can sing. Food is my weakness. I'm a Mormon. :)

About Me

Malo E Lelei! My name is Dawn Tongi. I go by Lana. I'm from Maui, Hawaii. Before you ask, I can't play the ukulele, I can't dance hula, and I don't speak Pidgin. People tend to ask these questions when they find out that I'm from Hawaii. I'm currently serving as a missionary in the California Oakland/San Francisco Mission! This is the BEST mission in the world. :) I'm not being biased either. It's the truth! ;) I was called to preach the Gospel in the Tongan language. I'm so privileged to serve my people and help bring more of my brothers and sisters to this fold. ♥

Why I am a Mormon

I was born and raised in the church. My parents are both strong members and they're returned missionaries too. As I got older, I knew that I had to gain a testimony of my own. Through diligent scripture study and earnest prayer, I got my answer. Now that I'm a missionary, I know for a fact that this is the Lord's church. I know that He restored His Gospel through his prophet Joseph Smith. I know that God loves us so much that He sent His son to die for us. If we utilize the Atonement and apply it into our lives we'll be closer to our Father in Heaven. We can only return to Him through our Savior, Jesus Christ. I know that the Gospel blesses families. I can't even begin to count the blessings in my life. I know that God is mindful of each and every one of us. He knows our weaknesses and strengths. He knows the intentions of our hearts. I'm BEYOND blessed to have the Gospel of Jesus Christ in my life. ♥

How I live my faith

I love my family. I appreciate the little things in life. ♥
