Hi I'm Addie

I'm a little blonde who loves to climb on rocks and pursue adventures out in the wild. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

This is me: I am enthusiastic, fun loving and adventurous (borderline crazy at times). I love to be outside, especially in the forest or the mountains- though my schooling and lack of a transportational vehicle prevents me most of the time. But that's okay because whenever I can I grab my rock climbing equipment or snowboard or whatever I can get my hands on and just enjoy the adrenaline of an adventure and the peace of mind that comes with being away from the city. Right now I'm studying to be a nurse and in the future, I want to travel to other countries and work there to help people in need. I love to be with people, to see their life through their eyes, I love to learn, and I love to play. Life is hard, but it's worth it when you get to be with the people that you love most and have something to look forward to each day. I find that I stress out a lot about my life and the HUGE decisions that I am making right now....but I know that everything is going to work out because I know God loves me. And that's all that really matters in the end.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because I choose to be. This is how I have found TRUE happiness in my life....the kind of happiness that lasts forever instead of just for a few moments or years. I have a testimony of the reality of my Savior because it gives me hope, it gives me the answers to my questions, it gives me peace when nothing else can. My testimony of this truth is strong because it has to be. Without it, I would wander and waver...I wouldn't be able to trust others or myself, I would always be wondering what my purpose in life was and if I was even important to anything to anyone. That inner stress and worry would have ripped me apart if I did not have this church in my life. It gives me the ability to see my life in a larger perspective....it gives me the hope I need to bear my burdens happily and to love people without the fear of losing them forever. It gives me a light in my soul and in my countenance that can't be hid. I am happy. And it's because I am a Mormon.

How I live my faith

In my church, I often get to teach....it's wonderful because in this church, we rely on the participation of the members to instruct and teach each other. I love this opportunity because it gives me the chance to learn even more about the doctrine of Christ, and as I teach others and see them internalize the truth that they're taught, my own faith and trust in this gospel and my Savior increases. I also get to go visit a couple of girls in my ward each month (this is called visiting teaching). We believe that in this church, we have a responsibility to comfort and strengthen one another and this is one of the ways that we do this. Because of this program, every woman in the ward has a friend and someone who'll check up on her or that she can call when she needs some help, advice or just needs to talk.
