Hi I'm Sarah Gambles

I'm a ''Bachelor'' watcher, a missionary in Sweden, and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I grew up in a small town in Idaho. You know, the kind where everybody calls each other by their first name and still remembers who dropped the touchdown pass in 1999. I'm a missionary in Sweden, and I hope I can be good enough that instead of rocking their socks off, I will put their socks back on. I love to travel. Every time my family and I hit the big city (aka somewhere with a population of at least 20,000 that has a Wal-mart), we eat at Five Guys and check out the college football stadium. My family is my favorite, obviously. I love people, and I miss them the whole gallon when I'm not with them. I'm pretty quirky. At home, you might catch me eating candy orange slices and watching ''The Bachelor'' or ''Modern Family.''

Why I am a Mormon

This is simple. It me happy. When I am true to my faith and my beliefs, I feel happy with my life and how I feel around others. I love to be around people, and my church allows me to help and make a difference in a way that I wouldn't find otherwise. I know that Jesus Christ loves me and each one of us so much. I worked with a 5th grade girl with down's syndrome. One day, we were reading a book about in-line skating. We turned to a picture of a guy doing a flip off a half-pipe, and she says, "That's you." I responded, "That couldn't be me! I would be too afraid!" She then said, "No, that's you. You jump, and then, I catch you. And we go get hot dogs." I really do think that Jesus Christ feels that way about us. If we take a chance, and respond to a challenge He has made for us, He will catch us, and then we can get hot dogs afterward.

How I live my faith

Well, I love to be around people and just talk with each other. I love discussing my faith with people and because of that, I am now serving a mission in Stockholm, Sweden for 18 months.

Why is it important for us to take care of our bodies? Why are our bodies called temples of God in the Bible?

Sarah Gambles
Heavenly Father created His children in His image. That means we have a body of flesh and bones just like our Heavenly Father. Our bodies are Godly. We need to take care of our bodies so we can return to Him proud of our bodies. Another advantage of taking care of our bodies is that when we are not addicted to substances, we are more able to enjoy people, life, and to more easily learn about the world around us. When we eat healthy foods and exercise daily, we can enjoy all that this beautiful life has to offer. Show more Show less

Mormons believe Jesus Christ is their Savior. Why do we need a Savior?

Sarah Gambles
No one is perfect, especially myself, so we all make mistakes. Because of those mistakes, we might feel guilt or pain or regret. Jesus Christ died for us so that we could be forgiven of those mistakes and receive true joy. By confessing our mistakes to Heavenly Father through prayer and feeling sincerely sorry for making those mistakes, we can be fully forgiven and become perfected through Jesus Christ. Are all Mormons required to serve a mission?

Sarah Gambles
Individual Mormons are the only ones who choose whether or not to serve a mission. I am currently serving a mission in Stockholm, Sweden, and I can't think of anything more rewarding at this time in my life! I love teaching people about the love they can feel from Jesus Christ, and it's so exciting to make so many new friends! Show more Show less
