Hi I'm Luke

I'm a gamer, I love computers, I'm a Mormon

About Me

I have lived in England all my life, and am a Mormon having been brought up by Mormon parents. I'm 17 and the third oldest of six, with two older brothers two younger brothers and one sister. I'm currently at college studying computer graphics which I love, and hope to be a graphics designer for film and game companies when I'm older as I love to use my imagination to draw and make different things. Another thing I love are animals and would love to work in SeaWorld. I also consider myself a bit of a geek, so I love play on my Xbox and go to different game conventions. I love to watch most genres of films and we have become the wards local blockbuster. One of my favourite things to do is to go out preaching the missionaries and see the difference they can make in peoples life's.

Why I am a Mormon

When I was little I always went to church because I felt like my parents made me. I loved to here all the stories and miracles from the old and new testaments. I especially liked the fighting and the epically cool hero's from the Book of Mormon. I decided to stick with it because I knew there was someone up there looking out for me. It wasn't until I was 12 when I started to go to youth that I really started to feel like I was going because I felt it was right through studying the scriptures and praying about it. Even though I felt it was right I still didn't know whether it was right for me. When I really knew it was true and I knew that this is the road I want to follow was when I went to EFY at the age of 14. This was when I really started to study the scriptures in depth and was able to leave the worldly things behind a concentrate completely on feeling the spirit and meeting amazing new people. I'm a Mormon because the people you meet are incredible and all have the same beliefs as you. I know without a doubt that the gospel and all its teachings are true, I know that we can once again live with god and I know that I am the son of a king and his love for me is unimaginable.

How I live my faith

There are many ways in which I live my faith and I try to do them to the best of my abilities. The main way I live my faith is by being active in the church by going every Sunday and taking part in the lessons that are taught there. I also attend early morning seminary which is a lesson every day that teaches about the gospel and an in-depth study of the scriptures. That's another thing, Reading the scriptures everyday helps me to live my faith by testifying to me about the true gospel and how we should live our lives. Home teaching is also a very important way in helping me to live my faith. This is where a companionship of two have assigned families in the ward to visit and share a message. They also ask if the family needs any help. Another way I live my faith is by spending Tuesdays nights with the other youth of the church. This when we do different activities that are good fun and can help use in daily lives. My favourite ways to live my faith is by going out contacting with the missionaries. This is speaking about the church to people on the streets and helping them to know about the gospel. By doing all these things I know I am living my faith. As I stand in holy places and be a light to others I know that I am doing the best I can to live my faith, and by doing this my testimony will grow.
