Hi I'm Sarah Holloway

I am a dancer. I am a singer. I am a student, daughter, sister, and aunt. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am 19 years old. I have grown up in Portland my whole life and have lived with my parents until I went off to college. I am a Pre-Dance Major at BYU-Idaho and I hope to be able to minor in music or business. All throughout High School I loved choir, and joined all the musicals and plays I could get into. I hope to someday work for Disney. Dancing is something that I have always loved and I am the type that can sit on YouTube for hours on end just watching choreography from around the world and never get sick of it. I am soon going to be serving a Mission in Milan, Italy which was decided after the age requirements for girls changed- and i couldn't be more excited. After my mission i intend on going back to school and getting my degree as a dance major, and start my own dance studio as soon as I can.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because I am a believer in truth. I like to know what is happening around me and what is more important to figure out then my purpose on earth? Once I found the truth of this life and why I am here, the rest was easy. While growing up it seemed like I was always with people who were concerned with which church was most fun and most convenient or what time was best to go to church and who to go to church with. There was even people who would debate which speakers were worth going to hear and which ones spoke too long or even which speakers made them cry the most. If I am going to live my life in a certain way according to what someone is telling me, I want to know that I can trust them as well as know that what they are saying is the truth. When trying o figure out which church to participate with I noticed something. There are a lot of religions. :) This confuses me. When we all die we will not be in separate religions. There will be one answer, one God, and we will all know it. So really, it is not which church is true- the questions is really- what is the truth? I have come to know for myself that The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints teaches the truth. What is taught and preached is fact. I know that the Book of Mormon is the word of God because I have read it and have prayed about its content. I am so thankful to know the truth in this life so I can start living my life in a way that will make me the happiest.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by maintaining my standards in all situations. I am very open with what I believe and during religious discussions I am open to what others have to say as well with sharing my own impressions and feelings. I believe that if I really believe something that I will not be scared to let people know that, so when I get asked about what I believe I always have an extremely open discussion with those I associate with.
