Hi I'm Bob McIntosh

I grew up in Portland, Oregon, became a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints at 16 years of age.

About Me

I love my wife, children, and grandchildren very much. I enjoy studying the Gospel of Jesus Christ. I was a teacher in the Seminaries and Institutes program of the Church for 36 years and enjoyed almost every minute of my association with young people. My wife and I have served two missions for the Church, one to India and the other to the West Indies.

Why I am a Mormon

I was raised Protestant and attended Church as a young boy by myself. When a neighbor boy invited me to attend the Mormon Church, a Church I had never heard of, I thought I would try it out. The moment I entered the doors of the Church I felt at home, a feeling I had not felt in any other church. When I began to learn the Mormon beliefs, I was immediately attracted to the doctrine of living prophets and apostles. Through the Prophet Joseph Smith I learned that I was literally a child of God and was here on earth for a purpose. This and other doctrines changed my focus in life and for the past 50 some years has been a continual source of inspiration and support to me.

How I live my faith

My wife and I visit two families as home teachers and serve a Church Service Missionaries which includes conducting an addiction recovery program each week and holding a gospel study class with inmates at the Women's Detention Center in Denver. We also keep busy with 24 grandchildren!
