Hi I'm Ron

I am a sixty-three year old grandpa who enjoys running.

About Me

I have run 26 marathons, many half-marathons, and many 5 & 10 K's. I have served in the Boy Scouts of America for over 25 years and I am a Silver Beaver.

Why I am a Mormon

Although I was raised in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints (Mormon), I struggled to know and gain a testimony of it when I was nineteen. Through study and long hours of praying, I received a testimony of this Gospel. I know that it is true. Not only do I know it is true, but I love the Church and it's many programs to help us find peace and happiness in todays world of confusion and sadness.

How I live my faith

I try my best to keep God's commandments. But, I know the best way to serve God is by helping other people. As a member of my Church, I am a home teacher, where I visit five single mothers each month. When I visit them with my companion, we inquire about their needs, such as home repairs, or health problems, and we try to help them as best we can. Most of the time, they just appreciate a visit from a person who cares. I know that God hears our prayers, but it is usually through the service of others that he answers them. I hope that God can use me to help his children.

Do you really believe there is a prophet like Moses alive today?

Yes, and I have tried to follow his inspired counsel. It has given me direction on my journey through life. I believe that my times of trouble and discouragement have been minimized because I have listened and obeyed his words. It is a cherished blessing to have a prophet on the earth today.
