Hi I'm Shawn

I am a musician, artist, athlete and have performed in a few musicals/plays. I like to do many things and I am a Mormon.

About Me

I like to be a well rounded individual. My dad raised me and my brothers in the sport of wrestling. I have been wrestling since I can remember, it is my favorite sport. Now that I am older I have participated in Mixed Martial Arts including boxing and Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu. I also love music and play the guitar, piano and trumpet. I am great at many different arts and have even done a few plays/musicals. I recently graduated from high school and I am looking forward to my future.

Why I am a Mormon

My mother and father raised me in the Church of Latter Day Saints. When I was young I did not concern myself with questioning which religion was the truth, but as I got older I realized I could not just accept what my parents were telling me without really finding out for myself. At times it was hard because there are so many different faiths out there and all of them seem to be trying their best to find the truth and do what god wants them to do. So I knelt and prayed to my heavenly father to let me know whether or not the gospel of my parents was the truth. It didn't take just one prayer and did not come as one single event. Overtime my faith grew and grew until I could finally say, "This is the truth, this is the path God wants me to take. The only time I have ever doubted was when I was not doing what I know to be right." The Holy Spirit has testified in my heart and I can not deny the impression I feel every time I think on the subject.

How I live my faith

In my church I am the Gospel Principals teacher. I teach the basics of what we as LDS believe to investigators and recent converts to the church. I am also preparing to go on a religious mission where I will be preaching the gospel, serving others and inviting them to come unto Christ.
