Hi I'm Eliza Stephens

I grew up in Farmington, Utah. I am a college student. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am young. I graduated from High School in 2010, and decided to attend college. It took me a long time to choose my major, but I finally chose Social Work. Helping people is my passion, and what I want to do with my life. As far as my family life goes, I am an aunt, a sister, and a daughter. I love my family more than anything. Some other things I love are food, hiking, friends, dancing, and music. I also love to relax and play soccer with my friends.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a member of the church because it makes me happy. I have been a member all my life, and I have seen the blessings that come from it. It has brought my family closer together, has helped me through hard and dark times that I have had. I know that Jesus Christ is my Savior. He loves me, and He loves every person on this earth. We are His brothers and sisters, and He died for us so that our sins could be forgiven and we could return to live with Him again. I am more grateful for this than I can express in words. I have made so many mistakes, so many that they weigh you down. But because the Savior died for me, I can be forgiven of them. They are forgotten and lifted off my shoulders. Christ is our redeemer and I love Him. I also know that Joseph Smith translated the Book of Mormon, which is an additional testiment of Jesus Christ, along-side the Bible. I recommend to those who feel something missing in their life, to read this book. It is a powerful testimony of the truthfulness of the LDS church. If it is true, then so is everything else. I encourage those who are unsure of it's truth, to pray, read the scriptures and find out if it is true. It has brought more happiness to my life than anything else.

How I live my faith

I recently decided to serve a mission for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. This means that for the next year and a half of my life I will dedicate my time to the Lord. I will be serving in Baton Rouge, Louisiana, and I am so excited to go, especially because I have wanted to serve a mission since I was very little. It will be hard to say goodbye to my friends and family, but it will be worth it to serve my Savior.
