Hi I'm Anthony

I grew up in Idaho. I'm a brother. I'm a snowboarder. I'm a cyclist. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

My name is Anthony Moreland. I was was born and raised in northern Idaho. I was also born and raised in The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. Currently I work at a ski shop in Spokane, Washington. I am preparing to serve a full-time mission in Cleveland, Ohio. I will be reporting to the MTC on April 3, 2013. I am a cyclist. My passion in life is to ride my bicycle. I ride it as often as I can and am constantly pushing myself to become faster and better on my bike. In the winter I like to go snowboarding. I also love to dance and to sing!

Why I am a Mormon

I grew up in this church and for a period of time, when I was about 18, I decided not to follow its teachers, to go off and do my own things. I was considered "inactive" in the church for a period of two years. During those two years I had realized why I had the opportunity to grow up in this church. Life seemed to be a little harder. I found myself to be depressed a lot. I began to see that i really hard no direction for those two years, that there was no point to the things I was doing. Trials would come up and I would be angry with our Heavenly Father and always ask, why me? Since I've been active in the church again, about a year and a half, I have decided to serve a full-time mission. I have a better understanding as to why we go through trials. I have have goals now, things that I want to accomplish. I know that Heavenly Father lives and loves me as well as each of us. I have a testimony of the truthfulness of this church and know exactly where I would be without it.

How I live my faith

I currently am active in the Coeur d' alene YSA branch. I have a few callings there. First is to be a home teacher. I am a monthly teacher. I am a ward missionary, and I also help plan Family Home Evening for the singles.

How can I know Mormonism is true?

This is the great thing about our church. Unlike any other church, we invite you to pray to Heavenly Father to find out if the Book of Mormon is true. We want you to find out for yourself! Nowhere do we say, hey just take our word for it. We want you to know for yourself, and the only way to do that is to read the Book of Mormon cover to cover and then sincerely pray and ask of God if those words you read are true. If you ask with a sincere heart and real intent you will receive your answer. Show more Show less
