Hi I'm Jordan

I grew up in Iowa. I am future pilot. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am a student going to college at BYU in Provo UT. I love to do anything that is outside and active. Sports are a large part of my life. I also have a passion for music. Singing and playing instruments have become a regular part of my days. I currently am serving a full-time mission in the Arizona, Mesa Mission. I love the opportunity to share something so special with everyone that I meet. I like to talk to people all day and learn about what they hold close to their hearts. As I learn about them, I see how we are all part of God's family and can be happy for eternity through God's amazing plan.

Why I am a Mormon

I love this Gospel with every fiber of my being. I have been a member of the church since I was born. There is a lot of things out there in the world that could harm me or overtake my life. By living my faith, I feel that my Heavenly Father has protected me and blessed my life. I love being able to choose what I do and say. The Gospel is something that lifts me up and shows me that I can become anything that I want to be. I have the ultimate example in my Heavenly Father. He knows everything and He can do everything. Why would I want to live contrary to what He would want me to? I know that my Savior loves me and wants me to live with Him and His father again. I know that this Gospel brings happiness to all who choose to live by it. I know that through Christ, I can become like my Father in Heaven. The love that He has for me is endless and I know that I can always can turn to Him in every moment of my life. I know that Joseph Smith was a Prophet of God. He translated the Book of Mormon and restored the Church to this earth. I know that our church today is lead by a living prophet and will never be lead astray. I love the Lord and I know that He wants the best for me. And I can find that which is best through living the way God commands us to.

How I live my faith

I currently am working in my church as a home teacher. I get to visit with people from my church and see how they are doing. I am able to help them with anything that I can and share messages with them when I visit. I also do a lot with Scouting too. I recently received my Eagle Scout award. Now I get to help the other young men work towards getting this honor as well.

Why is family so important to Mormons?

Families are important to Mormons because of how central they are to life itself. The family is where children learn and grow under the care and guidance of their parents. Having children inside of the family unit is so crucial and special. Just because we don't get to choose which family we are born into does not mean that we cannot make it the best it could possibly be. As we work to become united and focused on progression with our families, we can eventually come back to live with God forever. Show more Show less
