Hi I'm Mikayla

I 'm from Utah. I'm a missionary. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I have always loved performance, I grew up dancing and singing. Naturally, when I attended college in New York I went to more than 20 Broadway shows - in 1 semester, that is. Even on my college student budget. It was rather fabulous! On the flip side, I grew up outdoors. My dad is scout master of the century (I'm not biased...) so our family hiked, camped, fished, backpacked all the time. I love the outdoors! I feel so close to my Heavenly Father, The Creator, when I am in nature. I love that Utah, my home, is so diverse that you can see such different forms of nature where ever you are.

Why I am a Mormon

I have been very blessed to grow up in a home where both of my parents were members of the LDS Church and we attended church every Sunday. For as long as I remember, I have always KNOWN that I am a daughter of my Heavenly Father and that He loves me, a knowledge not many people have. It was easy for me to see that when I was consistently making good choices, I felt closer to my Heavenly Father than when I wasn't following the counsel of my parents and leaders. But to me this wasn't enough reason to know that the LDS Church was the most correct of all religions on earth, I believed it but wasn't certain. When I was 16-years-old, I was challenged to read The Book of Mormon cover-to-cover, something I had never done. Before reading The Book of Mormon, I had relied on the witness of others as my reason to believe that this was the true Church. As I read, I came to know for myself that Joseph Smith was a true prophet who spoke to Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ and restored the complete gospel of Jesus Christ to the earth. Each time I have read The Book of Mormon since, my confirmation of this truth grows. I have never felt closer to God than when I am studying The Book of Mormon daily.

How I live my faith

I love Jesus Christ and His gospel which is why I want to share it! I live the gospel by being a missionary of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints so that I can bring the joy, peace and blessings of the gospel to those who have not had the opportunity to hear the message.
