Hi I'm Benjamin

I'm a Duke fan born and raised in Hillsborough, North Carolina. I love the South. I have Cochlear Implants. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I graduated Cedar Ridge High School in June of 2013 and started my mission in Colorado on July 3rd, 2013. I've served in Pueblo, the San Luis Valley, Elizabeth, Colorado Springs, Trinidad, Woodland Park, and Raton, New Mexico. I like to play many different types of sports and I am learning to play the guitar. I love watching college basketball and football and always cheer for Duke. I enjoy working hard and like spending time with friends and family.

Why I am a Mormon

I chose the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints because I believe that Jesus Christ is the Savior of the world and has suffered for all our sins that we may repent and be made clean. I know that He loves me and all of His children on this Earth. He will let us know what we should do, where we should go, and what His will is for us if we will take the time to pray. I have taken this time and He has revealed to me that The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints is His church. He has given us Prophets and Apostles today so that He can lead His church through them, just as He did in the past with prophets like Moses. Knowing that Jesus Christ is the head of this church brings me comfort in my life and has helped me draw closer to my Heavenly Father and has helped me have an even more personal relationship with Him.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by living the standards that Christ has given us through His living prophets and apostles. When I was in high school I got involved in school clubs, such as FCA (Fellowship Christian Athletes), Dream Team, and Student Government Association. I have earned my rank as an Eagle Scout. In high school I got to provide much service to the community through those school clubs and church. Now I am serving a mission in Colorado and have had and will continue to have many opportunities to serve in the areas I'm living. After my mission I plan to go to college and continue to get involved with clubs and my church so I can continue to serve others. In this church we follow Christ's example in rendering Christian service to our fellow man and I love that.
