Hi I'm Robin Grey

I was born in England grew up in Australia where I joined the church and have settled back in the UK, after my mission.

About Me

I am married with three children and have three grandchildren. My interests include walking reading and travel. I love the English countryside and enjoy long walks with my wife and friends. I started my working life as an apprentice ground engineer (Electronics) for QANTAS Airways but later moved into the field of social work when living back in England in the early seventies. Later on I started a business which gave me and my wife and family the opportunity to live in the US for a while. However, we are now living quite happily in England.

Why I am a Mormon

I encounted the church as a 15 year old boy in Australia when I met the missionaries. I had never heard of the church before and although I was not a particularly religious person I did wonder why there were so many Christian churches claiming some kind of authenticity for their existence. It seemed to me upon reflection, following that fairly brief introduction with the missionaries, that if there was such a things as Christ's' true' church surely it would bare His name. When my family were taught about the church from the missionaries I felt an immediate witness of the 'spirit' during those discussions. Later, following a challenge to read the Book of Mormon, when I started I could not put it down and read it in a few days and it was during this time that I received an overwhelming witness that the words in the book were the words of God. I have felt that 'spirit' countless times in the church.

How I live my faith

I enjoy attending church in our local area and my wife and I have many dear friends in the church. I teach a class on Sundays and have occasion to speak and have in recent years been asked to speak at dozens of public meetings on the subject of the UK and the EU. I campaigned very actively for a Leave vote in the 2016 referendum.
