Hi I'm Kylee

I grew up in Texas, I've climbed the Middle Teton, I love to power-lift, and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

A southern girl at heart, I was raised in Texas with my other six siblings. I am the second oldest of five girls and two boys. I attend school in Idaho and I am studying Recreational Therapy. I love to rock climb, and am thankful to have a gym just five minutes away from my apartment and rocks just three hours away. I've summited Taylor Mountain and I have climbed the Middle Teton to above the Saddle. I have played soccer since I was 7 and have loved it since then. I love playing basketball for fun and I love to power-lift. I played the Bari Sax in High School and enjoyed marching band for the athletic aspect and personal motivation. I love working hard and dedicating myself to good aspects in life. I have always had a strong desire to serve ever since I can remember, and now I am to serve a mission in Germany as a representative of the Lord. I have a deep love and respect for those who serve in the military and dedicate themselves to our liberty, rights, and freedom. I have always wanted to serve, but I know in my heart that the Lord needs me in other aspects of my life other than dedicating myself to the military. In this, I am so excited to be enabled to be trusted by the Lord to be a soon to be Sister Missionary of His Church in Germany to serve the people there.

Why I am a Mormon

I have been a member all of my life and I could not ever be more grateful for it. I shudder at the thought of where I would be if I did not have the Gospel in my life. For I know it is the one true Church on this face of the earth by the many personal blessings and guidance and direction I have received by turning to my God in prayer even if it is for comfort. He is always there at my bidding; for He is constant and unchanging. I was baptized at the age of 8 and I knew in my heart that I was making the right choice. I could not be ever more excited when I became a member of the Church. I very much so wanted to do what I knew to be right. This included the standards and stipulations of following the Gospel and Choosing the Right. I know that when we do what is right, we are blessed for it and we learn of the capacity of the ever expanding love our God has for us. When I was a Freshman in High School, I received Depression due to a side effect from an ADD medication my doctor prescribed me when I was struggling to focus with my studies. My self esteem and worth seemed at the time to be of no worth and Satan never stopped to let me forget. When my parents noticed my change in behavior, they knew something was wrong; I was not myself. When I was taken off the medication, I received a Priesthood Blessing from my Dad. It was through my Dad's authority to hold the Priesthood and administer it unto me that I was able to fully become aware that I including all others are worthy of the Atonement and my Father in Heaven is aware of me and my needs enough that He has every piece of hair counted upon my head. It was through this blessing that I then knew that my Father in Heaven loved me and that I can go to Him with anything, even if it just be for comfort and guidance through my Goliaths in life. And this is what the purpose of the Atonement really is. Through this blessing and knowledge which now comforts and guides me, I am truly blessed. And this is why I am a Mormon.

How I live my faith

I love working with the youth of the church. I used to be a youth leader over the girls camp we carry out each year in hopes to build the girls up in their personal individual worth and divine nature and to help them become aware of their good works therein. That has been my favorite calling thus far in helping the organization of the Church. I was able to lead, organize and plan the activities and then carry them out and watch the girls grow and progress throughout the week. I hope to do the same thing when I am a Recreational Therapist. I hope to inspire youth to make right choices after being lost by knowing and remembering Who they are, Who's they are, Where they came from, and Why they are here. For I know we are all Divine Children of our Loving Heavenly Father and He wants the best for us as we progress in this earth life. Now as I am taking a break from school, I am dedicating my life to serving the Lord as a full time missionary of His church. It is my hope through my time and talents, I can bring others the happiness and blessings I feel on a daily basis by living the Gospel of Jesus Christ. I know that being away from my family will be hard and changing my everyday sweats lifestyle to a professional ambassador will be a change, but worth it in the end if I dedicate my heart, might mind and strength to the Lord and His Children in Germany. In this I am greatly blessed.
