Hi I'm Heather Brown

I'm a dancer, creative writer, lifelong learner, nature-lover and life-enthusiast. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am very passionate about life and exuberant about my passions. I'm a lifelong dancer; it is my love. I believe in sharing my spirit through dance. I've always been a huge bookworm and have aspirations to write my own books someday. Look out for my bestsellers! I revel in nature and the beauties of the earth. I feel a deep connection to music. It is another limb to me. I also love learning. I may not always fit in with the structure of school, but that I love to attain knowledge is undeniable. I attended BYU-Idaho for a year and danced on the company while studying English. And then I took a break from school to serve a full-time, 18-month mission in Orlando, Florida. I have a traveling bug inside me. I am culture-hungry and I want to experience every beautiful piece of the world. I love adventures! Basically, to sum me up, I dance to the beat of my own drum and I live for living!

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because it brings me true happiness. Living the values only makes me a stronger and more Christlike person. I know that my Savior, Jesus Christ lives and loves me. He made the great sacrifice for all of my sins, shortcomings, and weaknesses and I am eternally grateful for that. I know that through the teachings of this gospel I can return to live with my Father in Heaven again. I know families can be together forever and are essential to living our own plan of happiness. I have a firm testimony of the Book of Mormon, in its truth and goodness, as well as the Bible. I have a testimony of Christ and I will always remain a follower of Him.

How I live my faith

The way I live my faith is constantly evolving as different life experiences leave imprints upon me. There are some constants, however, that I will always remain true to. I follow my Savior, Jesus Christ. I strive to become what He wants me to be. I strive to do the things that will keep me close to Him. I attend church weekly, read and study the scriptures and the words of the prophets daily, and pray incessantly. I strive to keep all of His commandments because of my deeply rooted love and devotion for Him. I strive to emulate his attributes and characteristics, beginning with showing love to all mankind--my brothers and sisters. I feel close to Him as I seek after virtuous and lovely things. I am constantly nourished and inspired by the arts. I am enriched and rejuvenated from spending time out in one of God's greatest creations--earth. The joy of my life is in spending time with my family and fostering those relationships that are of eternal nature and of utmost importance. Life is for living! "Men are that they might have joy" -2 Nephi 2:25. I live by this freedom each day, in knowing that in God I trust and He will lead me on the path that is right for me. On to eternal perfection!
