Hi I'm Candace

I was born and raised in Hawaii. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I love my family. I also love to play with my niece and nephew. They're very young, but adorable. Sadly, though, I don't get to see them very much. But, when I do get to see them, we always have a blast.

Why I am a Mormon

Ever since I was a child, I wanted to know if the gospel was true, but didn't put forth much effort to know. I would pray every so often, but never consistently about if the church was true. However, when I decided I wanted a testimony, I read the Book of Mormon every day, then prayed and asked if it was true. I did this for a couple months, and received my answer one Tuesday morning in November. After I was finished reading, I was about to get down on my knees and ask if the Book of Mormon was true, when I received an answer that the Book of Mormon is indeed true.

How I live my faith

When I was in high school, I had the opportunity to serve in my ward as a youth representative for my age group. I also had the opportunity to serve as a youth conference leader, which is a youth representative that organizes an activity for the youth in the stake. At college, I had the amazing opportunity to serve as a ward missionary. This has been one of my dream callings, because I got the chance to learn and teach investigators like a full time missionary. Now, I am serving as a full time missionary and have been called to the Japan Tokyo mission.
