Hi I'm Emily Smith

I grew up in Utah. I am a returned missionary. I'm an Aggie! and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I recently returned from my mission in Minnesota. I spent 18 months there teaching people about the Gospel of Jesus Christ and how it has changed my life. It was a challenge but a constant reward! Now I am a student. Singing is one of my favorite ways to pass the time. I also play the piano, guitar, and clarinet. I enjoy being with people who encourage me to be better.

Why I am a Mormon

I have grown up in the church and I continue to live it because I have felt the strength it gives me to follow the teachings of Christ. Being a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints has given me strength to keep trying when life gets hard. When I feel like I am alone I pray and I feel the love that my Father in Heaven has for me.

How I live my faith

Since I was young I was taught how keeping the word of Christ in your life is important. One way I live my faith is by reading the Bible and the Book of Mormon every day and trying to live the teachings found inside. I live my faith by serving others even when I think I do not have time. The Lord always provides a way for me to serve and do the things that are important to me too.

How can faith in Jesus Christ influence us in our marriages and family relationships? in our friendships?

Emily Smith
Often times in the scriptures we are told to love one another. As humans it is often hard to love everyone we meet, it is in human nature to be jealous and hold grudges. If we have faith in Jesus Christ we are more motivated to learn to love everyone. If we are kind and willing to put forth an effort to love others our faith in Christ will help us soften our hearts and strengthen our friendships. Show more Show less
