Hi I'm Jeanette

I grew up in Utah with my parents and 6 sibilings. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am the wife of an extremely kind and dear man, the mother of 4 precious sons, and the grandmother of soon-to-be 13 grandchildren. Seeing the love and joy my family shares makes me happiest. I enjoy crocheting and tatting in my "free" moments.

Why I am a Mormon

As I was raised in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, it is sometimes difficult for people to understand how I could be converted. Wasn't I automaticallly converted? No. A loving Heavenly Father helps each individual gain a personal testimony, as they seek Him and ask for His help. For me, the matter of gaining my own testimony was through praying and asking the Lord to help me know if the teachings are true, reading the scriptures, and listening with my heart and mind to the answers He offered. The feelings of peace and comfort and reassurance He provided to me were so loving, kind, and firm. Now as I continue to do these same things — pray, read the scriptures, and listen for His answers to me, I am strengthened and feel His love for me.

How I live my faith

I was a reader for children in a near-by elementary school each week for nearly 25 years. Teachers and I chose books to encourage a love of reading. The children were hopeful I was coming to their class when they saw me enter the school. I visit with 4 women of varying ages each month. They are delightful ladies and we enjoy our visits and an occasional treat for a birthday or holiday.
