Hi I'm Doris

I was born and raised in California. I am a wife, mother, grandmother and a great grandmother. I am a Mormon.

About Me

I am a wife, mother of 5, grandmother to 22, and a great grandmother of 6. I have been married for 56 years. My parents were born and raised in Utah and moved to Calif. for employment soon after their marriage. After high school I worked for the FBI in San Francisco for 2 years as a stenographer and then attended BYU for the next 2 plus years. My youngest child was born with Down's Syndrome. He has brought me so much joy and happiness. I have learned much from him. He has so many fine qualities that I am trying to incorporate into my life.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because my parents were born into the Church and saw to it that I was baptized at age 8. When I was a teenager, missionaries labored in our little Rodeo Branch. They came to our home and taught my sister and me the gospel principles. My sister had polio, was confined to a wheelchair and could not get to meetings as often as she wished. It was at this time my testimony started to grow and it has never left me. The gospel of Jesus Christ has been my anchor in this troubled world. I am so thankful our Heavenly Father has made it possible for family members to be together after they depart from this earth.

How I live my faith

I always try to be honest and a good example to those I associate with. I attend church and the temple. It is a privilege to serve those about me and share with them the gospel's plan of happiness.
