Hi I'm Max

I grew up in Salt Lake City. I film and direct movies. I write music. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I grew up in Salt Lake City. I just finished my first semester at Brigham Young University. My major is currently computer science and I plan to graduate with a Bachelors Degree in CS. I love to work on computers and see the amazing ways that technology works. I love to play piano. I started when I was 8 years old, and have loved it ever since. A couple years ago, I picked up writing music. I wrote a couple songs on the piano, but it wasn't enough. I wanted to record and add orchestras and drums. So after a couple of Christmas's, I collected everything I needed for my own recording studio. My keyboard, along with my microphone, is connected to my computer where I edit all of the sound. Every piece of music I do is completely original. I submitted my music onto Jango.com (an internet radio site) and they accepted it! I've now written over 20 songs. Since about age 10, my cousin and I have loved to make movies. At first, our movies were only about 2 minutes long, but as time went on they became longer and longer. A couple weeks ago, we finished our latest one which tied all of our old movies together. It was 40 minutes. I've always loved watching movies, and so it's fun to put my own ideas onto a screen. I love my life, and I know my life has turned out the way it has all because of the Gospel. I love being a Mormon!

Why I am a Mormon

I've been Mormon all my life. My family, as far back as I can research, have been members of this church as well. So it's always been expected of me to live my life as a Mormon. But now, as an adult, it's time for me to make decisions about my life and where I want to take it. I couldn't think of a better choice for my life than to continue to live as a Mormon. Everyday, as I study my faith and the Book of Mormon, I find something new. I feel indescribable peace when I do what the Lord wants me to do. I have the opportunity in 2 weeks to serve a two year mission, where, everyday I'll get up at 6:30 in the morning, study, and then find strangers to teach them about this gospel. I have to leave my family, my girlfriend, my friends, my job (who knows if I'll get it back) and my schooling for two years. Some may ask, "Why would you do that?" The answer, is easy, "Because that's what the Lord wants me to do. I know it for myself. So I'm going to do it." Being a Mormon, I know what my purpose is here on earth. I know what I need to do while I'm here. Knowing this at a young age has helped me live a successful life. I love being a Mormon!

How I live my faith

In two weeks, I will get on an airplane and head to Madrid Spain, where I'll be trained on how to serve the people in Malaga, Spain. I get to serve a two year mission where every day, I am trying to find people to our faith. I leave my family, friends, jobs and school work for two years so that I can bring others the gospel. I'm not just going out to "convince" people, I'm going out to help people. I will serve the Lord by serving the people of Spain. In High School, I was President of a Mormon class called Seminary. I worked with kids my age that were also Mormons. We planned activities and events for Seminary. It helped me get involved and find ways to help others. It was so cool to meet other Mormons and see how friendly each one of them were to me. I love being a Mormon!
