Hi I'm Sophia

I love Life and I am a mormon.

About Me

I love singing and dancing (Zumba, salsa, swing, contemporary and hip hop). In the summer time I love spending time with friends and families enjoying the great outdoors such as hiking, rock climbing, camping, travelling and playing soccer. I am a high school teacher and also love spending time around little children in summer camps and help them develop a greater love for learning.

Why I am a Mormon

When my mother was 20 years old two missionaries from the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints knocked at her door. She was invited to learn more about what they were sharing and asked God if these things were true. She decided to take the discussions from them and decided to experiment on the things they were teaching her. She then realizes the blessings that the Gospel brought into her life. Later on in her life she decided to invite her own family, my father and my brothers to experiment the same thing. I witnessed how she would remain strong and immovable in difficult situations simply because of the knowledge of the fullness of the restored Gospel. I decided to try it out myself. The fruit of this gospel is joy and a reassurance of eternal peace that the world cannot give. I learn to love the book of Mormon which is another testament of Christ. We use it hand in hand with the bible. After University I decided to spend 18 months of my life as a full time missionary in the England Manchester Mission sharing the same truth that my mother received when those missionaries knocked at her door. I am grateful for my mother’s example and someday hope to share the same truth to my children and grandchildren. I did not doubt it and will never doubt it. I sincerely desire to find out for myself and I did receive an answer. Anyone who sincerely desire to know can receive an answer as well.

How I live my faith

I spend a lot of time with the youth and other peers my age and learn about our saviour Jesus Christ. There are great power in learning collectively and share the same values. I truly live my faith by trying to serve others. Jesus Christ set the example of how we can become his true disciples. It is not enough to hear the good word of God but I learn that when I act on his word the results are nothing but greater joy and Happiness. I know he wants his children to be happy and he showed me how. When I live my faith I experience greater joy and happiness and peace that this world cannot give
