Hi I'm Natalie Craven

I grew up in Oklahoma and Utah. I'm an International Studies and Economics Major. I'm serving a mission in Montreal.

About Me

I'm a college student. I love to travel and learn new languages. I love tennis, wakeboarding, and really anything with the water, but my passion is refugee resettlement. I love watching people persevere and overcome the hardest things life has to offer. I love being surrounded with human strength and sacrifice. I love people. Someday I hope to help refugee orphans find safe homes away from the camps.

Why I am a Mormon

Four years before I was born, my oldest brother passed away. It devastated my family, but we picked up and went on. My parents are so strong and never let us forget him. They even named me for him. We believe in eternal families, and so all the years that being a Mormon was hard, I clung to that belief that I would see him again. Somewhere along the road, that became a knowledge of the truth that our family did not end with death. As I grew up, I learned to rely on other beliefs in hard situations and eventually those became knowledge, too. I learned to trust my Heavenly Father and through His son's atonement, I found peace. I'm a Mormon, because I don't know who I would be without it. Everything I am, from the way I act to the way I see the world has been shaped by my belief. I'm a Mormon because I love my Saviour. But mostly, I'm a Mormon because I know He loves me and that gives me the strength to do things I never thought imaginable.

How I live my faith

I teach the 12 to 14 year old girls on Sunday. We love to talk about the strong women they are and how much their Father in heaven loves them, and guess what! He loves you, too! This week, I'm leaving on a mission to Quebec, Canada.
