Hi I'm Bonnie B.

I'm a happy wife, mother, grandmother, writer, and retired videographer, and I'm a Mormon!

About Me

First I'm a wife with a loving wonderful husband who I still adore after 40+ years together! I'm a mother and a grandmother with 12 adorable, delightful grandchildren. They are the light of my life! I also love having and being a friend! I’m an avid reader. I've published a novel, and several magazine articles, I'm also a blogger. I've assisted my husband with a genealogy family history as well as our personal family history. I loved to sew in my former, younger life. I love interior design and designed our own home. I've tiled floors, painted, papered, and remodeled kitchen cabinets myself. I've dabbled in oil painting and hope to pursue it again one day. I also had a video business for five years, producing mainly family history videos. I find life so fulfilling and interesting, I don’t think I could ever be bored, and I still can’t wait to see who I’ll be when I grow up!

Why I am a Mormon

I was not raised in the LDS Faith. My father was a Catholic and my mother was a Mormon, but not a practicing one. My parents divorced when I was two-years old, and my mother married again when I was six. My grandmother took me to church for the first time in my life to have me baptized. I did not understand it at all, but I will never forget the wonderful feelings I had. It just felt right, it felt good. My stepfather was not a member and was a chain smoking, abusive difficult man. My brother and I lived with poverty, abuse and neglect−life was hard and unhappy. When I was nine-years old LDS Missionaries came to teach my step-father the gospel, as I sat quietly behind the old wood stove in the ramshackle farmhouse we rented and listened, I will never forget the images on the flannel board the missionaries used in the early 60's to teach the gospel. As they taught of God's plan of happiness those images were seared into

How I live my faith

I've been active in politics, I've always studied candidates and voted, and was a county delegate once. I Love teaching in my church. I've taught many children, youth and adult church Sunday School and other classes through the years. I also taught seminary church classes at a local high school several periods a day, for two years, as well as a college institute class for my LDS Faith. I love sharing my love of the Gospel of Jesus Christ!
