Hi I'm Liam

I'm a writer, musician, and I'm a Mormon

About Me

I'm currently studying Psychology at college. I'm a music lover, so I play piano and guitar (with a little bit of singing as well) I also love writing- short stories and poetry mostly! Alongside writing and music, I also enjoy art, movies, and reading.

Why I am a Mormon

I'm a Mormon because I don't know what I'd do without the knowledge that God knows me as an individual. I was diagnosed with Major Depression a while ago, and for a long time I struggled with many things. I didn't REALLY know that god loved me deeply, my life was pretty grey. But through prayer and scripture study, I began to see that this world has so much good to offer. I remember getting on my knees one night when things were pretty bad and asking god: "Why do I have to suffer this, do I not deserve love?" and the answer i received was so overwhelming that I sat there for at least an hour, crying and marvelling. I felt a warmth, and a still small voice whispered inside saying "Liam, I love you, and I will not leave you alone in your despair." I remember saying-out loud- that I loved god too. Since then (and it always hasn't been easy, and still I slip) I've tried to have a positive outlook, that each day holds the opportunity to do something good, and in return, good will come back to me. I know for a fact, that God knows each and every single one of us, and that he loves us enough that he gave us his son, our redeemer, to save us from our sins so that, through Christ, we can return to live with him one day, like the primary song, "Families can be together forever" we can be.

How I live my faith

I'm a pretty shy person, so being open about my faith has been a small struggle for me (But I'm getting better at it!) Being only a young adult, I've served others multiple times with the youth, be it cleaning the exterior of retirement homes, or chopping firewood, or singing to the elderly, service has been something I've come to enjoy.

Do Mormons only help Mormons?

Absolutely not! Members of the church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints provide service to anyone who is in need, after all, we're all children of god, mormon or not. Show more Show less
