Hi I'm Colton

I was raised in Southern Utah, I am a missionary for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I grew up in a house that had 3 boys before me. I decided that I wanted to serve a mission when I was in high school and I am serving in the California Santa Rosa Mission right now. I love anything active. Sports are a passion of mine, I wouldn't say that any one sport is my favorite, but I'll get out and do just about anything competitive. I love being in the outdoors, that was something I grew up with. Camping, fishing, hunting, I've done it all my life. I'm a small town guy and I love the wide open spaces where it's just me and all God's creations. One of my favorite things is just spending time up on the mountain where I can take it all in.

Why I am a Mormon

I grew up in a semi-active LDS household. It wasn't until my Junior year of High School that I really decided that this church was the true Church of Jesus Christ. I decided to live the Gospel from then on. Every time I sit in church or find myself surrounded by other members, I feel like I belong. It's almost like coming home after a very long trip. The Gospel of Jesus Christ has helped me shape my life since then. It wasn't until then that I really realized what I wanted my life to be like in the future. I am a Mormon because this church helps me build a relationship with God. I can clearly see blessings in my life because of it, and I have no doubt that this church and this gospel is the truth. What I believe gives me direction in my life, comfort when things get hard, and peace when the world seems to all come crashing down on me. I love my Heavenly Father. I love The Lord Jesus Christ. And I love being a Mormon.

How I live my faith

Living my faith is basically part of everything I do. Faith is really why I do everything that I do. For me, living my life as a disciple of Christ comes first and everything falls in it's proper place after I've made that choice. My relationship with my Heavenly Father is characterized by personal prayer and time spent in the scriptures. I love going to church on Sunday and other church functions throughout the week. Living my faith means loving God's children. For me right now, living my faith is serving as a missionary for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints.
