Hi I'm Cami Palmer

I love music! I play the flute and piano. I love to sing. I'm on a mission in the Pennsylvania Philadelphia Mission. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

Currently, I am serving a mission in the Pensylvania Philadelphia Mission. I love music. Music is pretty much my life. I love playing the flute in a concert band and a marching band. I love learning how to play other instruments as well. I have played a little bit of clarinet, saxophone, and percussion. I know a few chords on guitar, and I also love to sing and play some piano. I am the oldest in my family with three younger siblings.

Why I am a Mormon

I was born into the church. My parents were both members and were married in the temple. I have come to love this gospel through examples that I have in my family and friends. I know that this wonderful gospel is true. I know that Joseph Smith was a true prophet and translated the Book of Mormon through the power of God. I know that the Book of Mormon is true and is another testament of Jesus Christ. I know that through the ordinances that happen in the temple, families can be together forever; time and all eternity. I know that our Heavenly Father loves us so much that he sent his Son, Jesus Christ, to atone for our sins. I know that He knows us all individually and loves us morer than we can ever be able to comprehend. We are given direction from Him through our prophet, Thomas S. Monson, and through the scriptures. I know that we can be forgiven of our sins if we repent. I know this church is God's one and only church. I know that He loves each and every one of us individually more than we can now comprehend. I know that this good news, this gospel, can bring happiness and joy to everyone if they are willing to let it in to their hearts. I testify that all these things are true. In the name of Jesus Christ. Amen.

How I live my faith

As mentioned, I am serving a mission in the Pennsylvania Philadelphia Mission. I will be teaching the gospel to those who are interested in joining our faith. I have always wanted to have this opportunity to serve. Ever since I was little, I knew that I would want to serve a mission. I am excited to do the Lord's work that He has for me in the Philadelphia area. I hope that I will be able to help people to come unto Christ and bring the joy and happiness the gospel brings into their lives.

Who was Joseph Smith?

Cami Palmer
Joseph Smith is the first prophet of our Heavenly Father in this dispensation. He is the one who as a 14 year old boy prayed to Heavenly Father to know which church to join. He is the same boy who saw God, the Father, and His son, Jesus Christ, in person. He is the man who through his faith and the power of God was able to translate the Book of Mormon from the gold plates that were written by prophets of ancient times. Joseph Smith is my hero. I look forward to the day when I can meet him in the next life. Show more Show less

Are all Mormons required to serve a mission?

Cami Palmer
No, it's not a requirement. We serve missions because we want to. It's our own choice that we make to serve a mission. Men go for two years, and women and senior couples go for 18 months. Men can go on missions as early as 18 years old. Women can go as early as 19 years old. That's what I did. I served a mission at 19. It was my personal decision to go. No one forced me to go. It was my own choice. Show more Show less

How can I know Mormonism is true?

Cami Palmer
The simple answer is to pray and read the scriptures. But, you have to do it for the right reasons. You have to do it sincerely. You have to be willing to learn for your self. You have to have a "broken heart and contrite spirit" which means you have to be open to recieving an answer. You also need to have a desire to know. If you have that desire, you've got the first step down. The next thing to do is to then pray and read with an open mind and open heart. You will come to know for your self. It may not be the first time. It may not be a big and grand awakening. It probably won't come the way that you want it to come. But you will find your answer. I can testify that you will get an answer. I've done it and can gaurentee that your answer will come. Show more Show less
