Hi I'm Kyle

I grew up in Utah. I'm a student, an athlete, a missionary, and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

My name is Kyle, I live in Spanish Fork, Utah in the United States. I'm 19 years old, and have been called to serve in the Brazil Cuiaba Mission. I leave March 20, 2013. I have an awesome family of five, me being the oldest child and only boy. I have two younger sisters. I love all things outdoors, such as sports, camping, fishing, motorcycles and 4 wheelers. I am planning on attending college to study Business and Entrepreneurship when I return home from my mission. When I'm not working, I spend most of my time with family and friends. I especially love to Golf with my Dad, Grandpa, and Uncle. I also love playing and watching football and basketball. Like most teenagers, I LOVE food! I like being with people and sharing experiences. I love to tease people and joke around, I try to be light hearted and not take things to seriously. I'm always looking for ways to learn and grow by trying new things, as well as looking for ways to have fun.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because I know that this is the true church, and I know that I can have true happiness by living it's teachings. I know that the Gospel and the Priesthood has been fully restored to this earth through the prophet Joseph Smith, and the current Prophet and Apostles are men called of God to help us come closer to our Heavenly Father. Having read the teachings of the Book of Mormon, I can testify of it's truthfulness. When I read the Book of Mormon or other gospel teachings, I can feel Heavenly Father's and the Savior's love for me. I know that by serving others and striving to be more Christ-Like, I can be truly happy. I'm a member of this church because I love having the knowledge and comfort that I can be with my family forever. A few years ago, my uncle passed away just a few months after returning home from his mission. I was very close to him, and it was a very difficult time for me in my life. However, I was really comforted because I knew that I would be able to see him again and be with him in the next life. I have seen the gospel bless my life and many others' lives around me, and only good things can come from it. I know that God loves me and has a plan for me, and that this Gospel is truly a way to come closer to God and live with him again one day. I know that Jesus died for us and atoned for our sins, so that we may be saved. I am so grateful that I was able to grow up in the church and have it so strong where I live, and for the opportunity I have to serve The Lord on my mission. I am truly blessed to have a testimony and knowledge, and I can't wait to share it with others in the mission field.

How I live my faith

I have had multiple callings in my community and church. I have been in church presidencies and have had leadership opportunities, to organize and ensure things get done. I have also had the opportunity to teach in my church and go home teaching to neighbors in my ward. These opportunities have helped me a lot, because by teaching and sharing what I believe with others, my own testimony is strengthened and my desire to become better increases. I live my faith by always doing my best to set an example to others, and by following the guidelines and teachings of the church.
