Hi I'm Alyssa

I grew up in Utah. I hope to be a National Geographic photographer and humanitarian worker. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I'm going to college majoring in photography, and I've tried a little bit of everything! I love soccer and lacrosse, poetry, piano, dogs, typography, biking, and living life to the fullest every day.

Why I am a Mormon

I've been a member my whole life, but I've chosen to continue to be a member because I know and I've seen that every single good thing and every happiness in my life has come directly from this church. Through following the teachings of Jesus Christ and our living leaders today, I've been able to take steps to become the person I want to be. I can feel myself changing for the better every day because I choose to follow Jesus Christ. I serve others because I want to and because I love them, not because I feel forced. And I've developed personal relationships with our Heavenly Father and His Son, Jesus Christ, and I know that they are active in my life. They care about even the smallest things in my life! All because they love me so much. And they love you perfectly and infinitely, too. They are always there to guide, comfort, strengthen, and help each and every one of us.

How I live my faith

I help lead the women's organization here in my college ward, along with three other girls. We help teach and visit each girl to make her feel welcomed and loved, and we organize events to promote bonding and learning in our organization. We meet and coordinate with other ward leaders to discuss how we can best serve our ward and meet their needs. I also have three specific girls that I visit each month with a companion, another girl, and we teach them and administer to their needs. They can come to us whenever they need anything - a ride somewhere, some encouragement, or something to do on a Saturday night.
