Hi I'm Tyler Hinckley

I grew up in Texas. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

My name is Elder Hinckley. I grew up in Dallas, Texas. I love playing sports, riding motorcycles, and going to the lake. I did a year at BYU before I left for my mission. I am currently serving in Sacramento, California and love it here!

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because the Book of Mormon is truly the word of God. It brings me so much comfort knowing that families can be together forever, not just for this life. It took me a very long time to accept these things as truth, but through much prayer and scripture study I have come to have a very strong belief that they are indeed true. I struggled for many years to know that God is our loving Heavenly Father, but over time and through many trials He has allowed me to feel of His love. Through these trials and experiences my character and my faith have grown beyond that which I ever before imagined. I know God loves us, I know that Jesus Christ died for each and everyone of us. He saw our faces as he suffered for our sins. This is the greatest act of charity that has ever been demonstrated and I know that it is true.

How I live my faith

I am serving a mission right now and doing my best to share the message of the Restoration. Choosing to serve a mission is the best decision that I have ever made.

What do Mormons believe about family?

Tyler Hinckley
We believe that family is the most important social unit of all time. We believe that we are all a part of our Heavenly Father's family and that He loves us individually. Families should and can be forever as we follow the teachings of Jesus Christ and accept the fullness of His gospel into our lives. We believe that through a modern-day prophet, Joseph Smith, the authority to seal families for time and eternity. Show more Show less
