Hi I'm Justin T. Bandy

I have my best friend, my twin brother. I´m serving a full-time Mission in the Colombia Bogota North mission and I´m a Mormon.

About Me

What can someon say about themselves that doesn´t make it appear that they are listing generic characteristical traits. I have a great love for the gospel of Jesus Christ, it has led me to find more of my most treasured moments in this life and has offered me comfort and peace in the difficult times that I have had in my time at home or in my time serving as a full-time missionary for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. I have long loved to go golfing with my friends, my dad and grandpa, as well as take time each day to learn or read something new, that I have not learned or known before. I greatly enjoy being with my family, which has always been and will continue to be the anchor of support that I have relied upon to strengthen me and help me press forward. It is a pleasure to talk with others and it has been the best time of my life to serve others. I give thanks for my life and hope that this profile will help explain some of what I, as a member of the LDS faith, believe and what I treasure.

Why I am a Mormon

I have been a member for most of my life. I was brought up in the church, due to the conversion of my parents and grandparents. But it was through their continued diligence, love, and support that I have found my own testimony of the values within the church. Which has led me to many of my own conclusions about my life and the plans that my Savior has for me. While it is well know, I find that a testimony will only truly grow so long as we are doing what we are supposed to, living the commandments that have been set forth as well as following the example set forth by the Savior and his apostles and prophets. To me it is the continued striving to live these beliefs that sets me apart from my friends and it is by living these higher (harder) laws that truly makes me feel that I am a member of the Lord's church. To be a Mormon is not an easy task, and should not, cannot be taken lightly. But to be a disciple of Christ is never an easy thing, but the rewards and blessings of following his truth are beyond the scope of our finite minds and bodies. It is with great love that I strive to live his teachings and I give thanks for the many blessings and teachings that he has given us in these last days.

How I live my faith

I find that in talking to others not of my faith, that we all share a great deal of common ground in our beliefs. I find that it is more through how we live our beliefs that can separate us from others of the christian faith. In my ward (congregation) I give brief talks/sermons when I am requested too, which can range from a great variety of topics within the church such as faith, repentance, baptism, the recieving the gift of the Holy Ghost or enduring to the end. I have younger brothers whom I take to youth activities so that they can have friends within the church, to learn more of the Lord´s gospel, as well as to allow them more time to prepare themselves to live the standards we have. In our society today it is not easy to live the beliefs that we, and many Christians, have. But it is by working together and by following the teachings and promptings of the spirit as well as living prophets and apostles that allow me and others to follow the disciple´s path.
