Hi I'm Abbigayle

I grew up in Idaho. I love to cook, bake, sew, and play the violin. I'm a mormon.

About Me

I love to cook and bake and experiment when I do. I play the violin. I have played for 12 years. I am going to college in the fall, and I am so excited! Right now I want to major in Family and Consumer Science Education, and minor in Special Needs Education. Most people would say that I am a very nice, genuine, honest person. I won't fall through on my promises or other commitments.

Why I am a Mormon

I live this gospel because I know that it is true. Ever since I was young I have always had a testimony that this was the true and only true church and have never had much of a problem of not believing that my whole life. I just knew within my heart. I continue to follow my brother, Jesus Christ's, gospel because I want to be a good example to my family. I want to return to my Father in Heaven. I want a forever family, and I know that by being married in the temple, in God's house that I can have my own forever family one day. That I can be with my family forever. I know that prayer works, and our Father in Heaven does listen, and even though he knows what we need before we ask that he wants us to talk to him and ask. I know that he will never leave us comfortless. That even when we think nobody is there for us he is! I know that without this gospel I don't know where I would be. I know that if I just ask in prayer that my Father in Heaven will help me with whatever I need as long as its righteous, and as long as we will put forth our own efforts. I know that as we seek for knowledge of our brother Jesus Christ that we can become closer to him and become more like him. I know that everything that happens in our life is for a purpose and it is our choice what we do with that. I know that if we follow his commandments we will be blessed! I know that if we follow through on our end our Father in Heaven will follow through on his.

How I live my faith

I am the 1st counselor in the Laurels presidency in young womens, which is the age group of girls from age 16-18 years old. It is the people that we go to class with and have activities with. I love to give service to others. It always makes me feel good about myself. I love to share my testimony about this church, and what I believe. I also do my best to be a good example to everyone around me, by living the standards of this church, and living the standards that I say I live. I love to read the scriptures, and learn more about Christ!

Mormons believe Jesus Christ is their Savior. Why do we need a Savior?

We believe that no unclean thing can enter into the kingdom of God. We all know that we are human and that we make mistakes. So we need the Savior, because he performed the atonement for us. He died and payed for our sins so that we can repent and our sins can be taken away and so we are clean and we can enter into the kingdom of God. Even though our Savior has payed for our sins we have to use our agency and choose to repent. We need to choose to partake of the atonement and forsake our sins or choose to get rid of them and to never do them again. We believe that when we partake of the atonement and start the repentance process that we need to confess our sins. Some sins are small and we believe we can do this by praying to God and asking of his forgiveness. Some sins are bigger and we need the help of proper priesthood authority which is most of the time the Bishop, he can help us get rid of those bigger sins, he can help us by us first confessing to him what we have done. Then he can help us the rest of the way by helping us make it back to being clean. So we can make it back to our Heavenly Father, and so that we can dwell with God in Heaven. Show more Show less
