Hi I'm Spencer

Utah is my home. Boston is an amazing band. The Trombone. Love video games, on a mission, And I love being a mormon.

About Me

My name is Spencer. I live in Utah. I like playing video games, and playing trombone. I also like sitting around thinking. Listening to music is my life. Some of the Bands I listen to: Boston, Beady Eye, Beatles, Coldplay, 30 Seconds To Mars, Scissor Sisters, Rick Astley, Skrillix, Iron Maiden, Disturbed, and a lot more that I can not remember. I have done a semester of College at Snow College. I am also trying to figure out what I want to do for a job. I might go into music, or into IT work. I am also on my mission in the England Manchester Mission. My life is great. Learning more about what I can do. I like to ride, in trains, buses, cars, planes, anything. I recommend England to come and visit. It's great. Life is a great thing to have and to live in. Life is like a Garden, Dig it. Also, don't live below what you are able to do. Don't worry about the future. Or Worry, but know that worrying is as effective as trying to solve an algebra equation by chewing bubble gum.

Why I am a Mormon

I have been in the church as long as I can remember. I was born into the church. I am an eagle scout. I have graduated from seminary. They have both helped me and teach me to do what is right. And being able to come out on a mission has also showed me a lot about what I will need to acquire to move on in life. I will keep pushing forward to teach people about the gospel. At First I was questioning if I thought this was true. Even when I came out on my mission. I am sometime's still questioning if it is true. We, the church members, always question if it is true. But I am thankful to keep learning about the gospel. While on my mission, it took me about 2 months to get my answer. Becuase I didnt reallly belive in the church. So while I was going around to people teaching them about it, it started dawning on me that there might be something to what I am teaching. So one day I was studying in the morning and I than got my answer that it is true.

How I live my faith

I participate in my ward by doing my home teaching. My Dad use to be the Bishop of my ward. I, my self, am in a big ward, (a ward is what we call our group of people that meet on Sundays.) So I don't and havnt had a calling yet in my ward, but when I get back, I will. I am now on a LDS mission in England. I am serving the lord by teaching people of the gospel. I am helping anyone that is in need of help. I am doing all that I can for the people of England by serving and teaching people about the gospel. It is a hard thing to do but it is a great experience and I can learn more while I am out here about the gospel. What I like to do to live my faith even more is by trying to listen to the people that are teaching me and the ones I am teaching. It is a hard thing to do. I think the other thing about how I live my faith, is I try not to push it on anyone. I my self hate it when people try to tell me what to do, and how to live my faith. But we are all different from anyone else.

Are all Mormons required to serve a mission?

Spencer
We are not all required to go on a mission. We have the choice to do so. The young men of our church are highly recommened to do so. The young women can go on a mission, but don't have to go on one. The age requirements are: Men:18-25 Women:19-? (not sure how old they can be to serve.) Show more Show less
