Hi I'm Travis Davis

Born and raised in Vegas, went on a mission to the Dakotas, I LOVE life, and I'm a Mormon

About Me

I love music! I played trumpet in middle school and high school and loved it. I sing in a choir when I can and love to listen to anything orchestrated. I'm really good at quoting movies; you name it and if I've seen it, I'll quote a line from it with voice inflections included :) Right now I'm going to school for mechanical engineering.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon for many reasons. Mainly because of I have seen God's hand too many times in my life to ignore Him. I have also had the opportunity to test many of the promises that God has given and have found them to be correct. Any commandment He gives has a blessing that comes with it and I have be very blessed in my life. A major turning point in my life was going on a mission to the Dakotas because I was able to share my testimony with anybody I met which strengthened my own testimony in turn. Recently I had an experience that really strengthened my trust in God. I really like to ride motorcycles, but I recently got in an accident. I was simply going to church and as I was turning left at a green light, a lady ran the light and hit me on my left side throwing me off my bike. I landed on the hood and windshield of the car and then rolled off when she stopped. I was wearing a helmet which I'm sure saved my life, but even with a helmet on there are so many things that could have gone wrong. instead I walked away (figuratively) with a broken ankle. There were many people that said that I was lucky; I don't see it as luck, I see it as a blessing from God. I know now that God has a plan for me and that gives me comfort. I haven learned from this experience to trust in God because He is the Master Orchestrator, and He knows what is best for us at this time in our lives.

How I live my faith

I do my best to help others, whether it be actually physically helping them with something, or just listening to their problems and helping if i can. I really like to smile and ask people how they are doing. I am currently a leader in one of the groups at church and I love it.
