Hi I'm Alex

I'm an international relations major. I'm a musician, a dancer, an athlete, and I'm a Mormon

About Me

I'm currently attending Brigham Young University studying International Relations in order to pursue a career in diplomatic relations. I love to do a variety of things, including play music, sports of any kind, dance, and go on any crazy adventures with friends.

Why I am a Mormon

I chose to become a member of this church because of the answer I received, and more importantly, the way in which I received it. My conversion was not achieved by another member, the missionaries, or any other person other than myself. I was able to search for an answer, and receive it directly from my Heavenly Father through the influence of the Holy Ghost. The beauty of this Gospel is that we do have a direct relationship with our Father in Heaven, who will guide us according to His eternal plan that he has laid out. We are not asked to follow blindly, but to qualify that marvelous plan through faithful actions. I have found that as I follow this plan, I am guided, comforted and taught constantly, and given the strength to continue living my faith. More than anything, the happiness that I have felt through living this Gospel is one that I now could not imagine myself without. We don't truly know what happiness is until we have embraced our Heavenly Fathers plan, and once we do, we won't be able to picture ourselves without it. I know and have witnessed, in myself and others, the great importance that this Gospel has in the lives of those who choose to live it, and what it can truly do. Before, I would have never thought that something like religion could have helped me be happier. In reality, the Gospel is synonymous with eternal happiness, and will put us on the path to experience the best that our Father has for us, in this life, and in the life to come. I invite all to experiment upon the word, so that you may have a personal knowledge and assurance given to you of the great blessings that await us all.

How I live my faith

For the past few years, I've served in the missionary aspect of the church (sharing the Gospel). I spent two years in the Dominican Republic sharing the Gospel of Jesus Christ with the citizens of that country, and I now currently serve as an online missionary (one who also shares the Gospel online).
