Hi I'm Andrea

I grew up in Utah. I love to laugh with friends and family. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I love to read, camp, play the piano, ride horses and laugh with my siblings. I moved to Brazil when I was 15 and right in the middle of high school. It was really hard, but it was also the best thing I ever did. I have always liked traveling, but now I love it. I love seeing the world, different people and cultures, and learning about everything. I am going to college at Brigham Young University and I am studying Chemical Engineering. I love learning how intricate chemistry is and how amazing it is. I am also grateful that I can learn to be an engineer like my dad and my grandpa. When I graduate I hope to be married. I want to start a family and stay at home to raise my children. I want to raise bright, educated, happy children who are not afraid of the world, but will love it and contribute to the good in the world. If I need to I will be able to work to support and assist my family, but I know my education will benefit them either way.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because I know that this is Christ's restored church on the earth. I have come to this knowledge through daily scripture study, prayer, weekly church attendance and continuously trying to obey God's commandments. I have been blessed with wonderful parents, teachers, leaders and friends who have explained to me truths and commandments, but ultimately I know of myself. I know as other Christains, that Jesus Christ came to this earth and lived a perfect life. He performed the atonement and died for all of us, that we might repent and return to Him and our Heavenly Father. I know He was resurrected and that because of His resurrection, we will all be resurrected with perfect bodies someday. I also know that He loves all people in every period of time and has restored His gospel and priesthood on the earth at this time. Because of this restoration, we can all enjoy the blessings of prophets, temples, and continuous light and knowledge. One of the greatest blessings I have received is the gift of an eternal family. I know that through priesthood power my family will be together forever. Death cannot separate us forever.

How I live my faith

I read from the scriptures daily and I pray every morning and night and many times in between. I attend church for three hours every Sunday and I try to go to the temple as often as possible. Right now I am taking a break from college and serving a mission in Portugal. I will spend 18 months away from school, family and friends to teach the gospel to anyone who wants to hear it. I will have no contact with my family and friends besides emails and letters and 2 phonecalls a year. It is a huge sacrifice, but I want to serve. I want to share my knowledge of Jesus Christ and the joy His gospel brings me. I want to invite others to know Him better. I want others to know the happiness of eternal families and continuous revelation.
