Hi I'm Jared

I am a music creator, I have the best family in the world, I want to know everything and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

Love is often spelled t-i-m-e but I think a better spelling is f-o-o-d. It's only good when you have someone to share it with. I intend to develop a virtuous life thoroughly consecrated to the Lord Jesus Christ. I want to surround myself with people who are friends with everyone. I absolutely love giving my peers smiles and confidence in themselves, and I'll be better able to do that when i'm surrounded by others with the same goals. I love a good game of basketball, watching movies, traveling with family and friends, making memories and just about anything. I have been playing the piano actively most of my life, I play the organ occasionally and I believe in singing until you sound good. I hope to have opportunities throughout my life to make music. All credit to my wonderful parents. What's life without a little bounce to it??

Why I am a Mormon

Jesus Christ established this church through his servants, the prophets. I choose to follow Christ because I find that he wants us to be happy; therefore he gives us commandments which protect us from harm and misery. When I obey them, I can feel happy. To increase my happiness i strive to radiate Christ's love for all of his children who may not feel it otherwise. It's a choice I make every day. It doesn't matter what anyone says to me. If the prophet himself told me that this was all a hoax I would still believe because I know by the power of the Holy Spirit that this is Christ's work! Peace comes to me during times of trial and I am able to do things I would never have been capable of. FORGET YOUR OWN DESIRES, seek what God wants you to do (then do it) and you will one day acquire these same blessings. Put Simply, God loves you too.

How I live my faith

I TAUGHT THE GOSPEL IN THE GKLM!!! I LOVED IT!!! (Great Kentucky Louisville Mission) I mess up a lot, just like everyone else. I am different than many, however, because I am striving to consecrate everything to the Lord and I intend to be a great resource of service for Christ's church to further the work of salvation. I choose to have a more eternal perspective compared to the world around us which focuses merely on temporary satisfaction. I repeat the steps we've been taught by Christ and his prophets about his Gospel: Faith, Repentance, Baptism, Receive the Gift of the Holy Ghost and Endure to the End. Because of these things which I do I am able to say there is nothing that could take away my testimony of Jesus Christ and the Restored Church. My Faith is built upon many foundations now, all of which compliment each other; Spiritual witnesses from the Holy Spirit, intellectual Clarity or reasoning, the testimonies of those in authority or trusted individuals, and finally lack of evidence otherwise. None of these foundations came overnight (trust me, it can take a very long time!)

Why don’t women hold the priesthood in The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints? How do Mormon women lead in the Church?

Jared
Because that is how God planned it to be! Everyone has something they need to contribute to this grand masterpiece. Women are mothers and role models by nature because that is God's plan. Sometimes men need a little encouragement to serve, and often even more than that a nudge to feel an amount of self-worth. Men aren't natural nurturers, yet the priesthood is purely service. It is not a title or a crown to be worn proudly for all to see. It is the perfect institution to allow men to develop Christlike attributes naturally given to righteous women. Women aren't left without organization or a chance to develop their own character. In the Relief Society their main purpose is simply to love! They can learn leadership and organizational skills, vocational skills, and being an active part of a very influential service organization gives women a sense of belonging and self-worth. I owe much to the women in my life, particularly my mother. I may not know everything, but I do know that these patterns were instituted by God directly through his Prophet, Joseph Smith. Why is family so important to Mormons?

Jared
Because God is a God of Love! I've come to believe the center of the Church is the family. Family is happiness. It is love, joy and nourishment of body, mind and spirit. Happiness is God's entire goal summed up in one word. If we truly are selfless and each of us spend our time and energy looking out for our family, we will in turn be happy and filled with love for those we serve. I have seen the difference of a family life and an individual life; nothing in this world compares. Because of this church and the family perspective it provides, I've been filled with an indescribable happiness and true soul joy that can't come any other way. I highly recommend it. In fact, please do it. My soul aches for those who don't have this. I hope one day this ache will be filled with joy as each of us choose this incredible path. Trust in God in all thine paths and lean not to thine own understanding. Show more Show less
