Why I am a Mormon

I know this church to be with all of my heart. I realize that I am a better person because of this gospel and I know that I can reach my full potential with guidance from the Lord and His chosen prophets. I have realized that I make choices every day and almost every hour that keep me walking in the light or moving away toward darkness. Knowing this, there is no other place I would rather be, no other organization I would rather be a part of, then that of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. My membership in this church gives me a sense of love and devotion to those around me. I want to continually serve and teach those with whom I come in contact with. I know that families can be together forever and dwell in the presence of the Lord if we keep the commandments we made with him at baptism. I know that the Atonement is real. I have a firm testimony of this gospel and do not know where I would be without it. I know that it is through our Savior, Lord, and Redeemer Jesus Christ that all mankind may be saved. I know that we are here for a reason and we each have a plan and a purpose. He loves me and he loves you. He will not abandon you. He will always be by your side as long as you are willing to let him help you and lift you up. He wants nothing more than to see all of his children return to him with gladness in their hearts, with a hope shining brightly before them. It is because of this church that I am who I am today. I will praise his name forever. Alma 26:12

How I live my faith

I live my faith by: -being an example to those around me -striving to fulfill my duties as a counselor in the primary presidency, serving the children, and being happy each Sunday when I see them -sharing my testimony of what I believe and know to be true One of my favorite quotes is by President Dieter F. Uchtforf, "As the Lord is patient with us, let us be patient with those we serve. Understand that they, like us, are imperfect. They, like us, make mistakes. They, like us, want others to give them the benefit of the doubt." Never give up on anyone. And that includes not giving up on yourself.
