Hi I'm Corina

I am a full-time college student. I'm a teen convert. I'm happy. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am currently serving as missionary for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. I will be serving a full-time 18 month mission in the Utah Salt Lake City Temple Square Mission. I am SO excited to be serving my God while meeting people from all over the world! I am extremely thankful for my Hispanic background and its influence in every aspect of my life. Both of my parents immigrated to the United States when they were teenagers. I may not look 100% Mexican, but my curly hair and obsession with spicy food proves otherwise. :)

Why I am a Mormon

I'm a Mormon because I know the Church is true! This Gospel has completely changed my life and will continue to do so for as long as I live. I know that the original Christian church that Jesus Christ established has been restored to the earth again today through a living prophet. I converted to the church on October 23rd, 2010, and it has truly been one of the best decisions of my entire life. Nothing on this earth can bring as much happiness into your life as this gospel. The amazing love and tender mercies I feel from my Savior and God on a daily basis are incompatible with anything else. I really know that Heavenly Father loves us enough to give us the fulness of the gospel with all the saving ordinances necessary to return to him one day. My mother and I are the only members of the LDS faith in our family. My mother joined the church when I was about 5 years old. I made a really great friend at church that had a poweful influence on me. She invited me to go to girls' camp for a couple of years until I finally gave in and said yes. Little did I know that 'yes' would change the course of my life! After 3 years of attending that camp, I felt deeply within my heart that the church was true and that I would do anything for it. The leaders there showed me what it was like to truly feel the love of Christ, and I am so thankful for their righteous example. The love these women showed that helped me feel the love of my Savior and understand my divine potential.

How I live my faith

I live my faith with the knowledge that I am a beloved daughter of an almighty God who loves me SO much! I know the Jesus Christ is my Savior and that he died for ME and MY sins. I know that he truly came to the earth and established his Church for the world. I am faithful to living a life that is surrounded by goodness and happiness. I have seen the blessings come from living a Christ centered life, and I wouldn't abandon it for anything in the world. I understand WHO I am and WHOSE I am. I will never let that go!

Are Mormons Christians?

Most definitely! If you believe that Christians are people who accept Jesus Christ as their Leader, King, and Savior, then we without a doubt can be considered Christian. Christ is the center of our church, we love him, praise him, and hope to return to Him and our Heavenly Father one day. His atoning sacrifice has given us the opportunity of rejoicing in eternal life. Show more Show less
