Hi I'm Sharon

I grew up in Arizona. My husband and I have six children and 17 grandchildren. . I'm LDS.

About Me

I was a stay-at-home mom. I love to scrapbook, knit, crochet, and read. I also like to travel and see the world. My husband and I have gone to Hawaii multiple times. We have also visited Scotland, England, Spain, Italy, But most of all I like being home with the family and enjoy playing games with my children and grandchildren. I also love to garden and have just recently enjoyed learning the skill of making compost.

Why I am a Mormon

I was born and raised in an LDS family. We always went to church and other church activities. Even though I was raised in an LDS family, when I became older I knew I needed to know for myself that the gospel of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints was true. I read the Book of Mormon and prayed to know whether it was true. I testify to you that the Book of Mormon is true and each time I read it, I feel the spirit as I read and it tells me those things that I need to be doing--or things I need to change. I also read in the Joseph Smith History and prayed to know if Joseph Smith was a prophet of the restoration. I, too, know that he is a prophet and translated the Book of Mormon.

How I live my faith

I am active in the LDS church and love serving others.I currently am a Webelos scout leader and sing in the ward choir as a soprano. I sing soprano, but I have recently learned how to sing alto. My husband and I home teach four different families in our neighborhood. I also visit teach two other sisters, which I enjoy very much. I have taught and lead the youth for many years. I have also lead and taught the women in our neighborhood. When my children were attending elementary, jr. high, and high school is was involved with and served in the PTA. I have also taught and served the younger children in the nursery and primary classes. I have also served willingly at Welfare Square, the pasta plant or whatever other welfare projects need my help.
