Hi I'm Hayden

21. Student pilot, live sound tech, event producer, and digital media aficionado. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I was born in Utah, and have also lived in Texas and California. I live in a very technical family, my father is an event producer and I often work with him on large corporate events and live broadcasts. I enjoy still photography and motion controlled time lapse. I am very computer literate and enjoy dabbling in programming. My family is also very active in the community, we all enjoy producing theatrical shows, my specialty is live sound. I am currently working on my private pilots license as my father is also a pilot and I greatly enjoy it. I have two younger brothers, and I am currently serving as a full time missionary in the Canada Calgary Mission.

Why I am a Mormon

Having been raised in the church it is always difficult to pick a defining moment where you realized the truth of the church. Personally my testimony begins with simple but powerful doctrine. A few of them include; The living prophet we have on this earth today: it confuses me that many religions do not believe in having a living prophet on the earth today. Why in these most challenging times of this world would we not be given someone to guide as like in the days of old? This world is become more and more wicked as it goes on, and we need Gods direct guidance more then ever. Next are things such as the word of wisdom and the law of chastity. In the case of the later, the values of the church were once respected by the world - saving ones self for marriage. As society has progressed we have lost many of these traditional values. As for the world of wisdom it is only logically to avoid any substance that is addictive or potentially harmful to our bodies. I see the tragedy that stems from the use of these substances and personally choice to avoid them so that i may live a long and healthful life. That leads me into my next doctrine, our agency. I am not a blind follower, I am given the choice to accept every piece of doctrine, no one forces me to. I can make my own decisions. The part I personally find most dear to me, is that of eternal marriage and families. When I locate my eternal companion, I want to be able to spend forever with her. I truly believe that after death we will be together again throughout the sealing power of temple marriage. This alone is a key drive in my life to live worthily to be with her forever.

How I live my faith

I believe the best way to live our faith is to strive to emulate the example of our savior Jesus Christ. He showed love for all around him unconditionally and worked to do all he could to serve them and help them to obtain all of the blessings our Father in Heaven has in store for us. In my life I try to be a source of peace of those around me. Reaching out to help those in need. This includes sharing the message of the restored gospel. Giving everyone the opportunity to enjoy the same happiness that I have found. At times such as serving a full time mission we primarily do this by inviting others to do things to increase their faith in Christ. In the rest of our lives we most often lead by example. I love using the talents that Heavenly Father has blessed me with to aid others. I strive to be active in the community by volunteering my time in producing benefit concerts, technical directing for elementary school musicals, and aiding others in there other digital media needs. My greatest satisfaction comes from seeing people enjoy the things I have worked hard to create.
