Hi I'm James R. (Jim) Nisbet

I grew up as a son of a coal miner in southern West Virginia. I was converted to the church when I was 28.

About Me

I am retired and staying active with my various volunteer efforts in church. I am married (twice) and have 12 grandchildren. I have an engineering degree and an MBA. I retired as the Marketing & Customer Services Director from an Electic Utility.

Why I am a Mormon

I joined the Church at the urging of my first wife. It took me a few years to gain a testimony of the truthfulness of the Book of Mormon. I truly believe the Lord has restored his Church on the earth today through The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. I believe that all churhes are good and they try the best they can to do the Lord's will. I have been active in other denominations and know how spiritual and righteous these people are. As a member of the LDS Church it is our job to share the gospel with everyone.

How I live my faith

I am currently the Stake Employment Specialist and also the Stake Public Affairs Director. I enjoy helping others as well as enjoy serving the Lord through my duties in the Church.
