Hi I'm Christopher Carver

I was born in Idaho and adopted by my parents who lived in Utah. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am a full time missionary. I have been assigned to labor in the Philippines Bacolod mission for the duration of two years! I have been learning Hiligaynon/Ilonggo to assist in my labors. I love this Gospel and can't wait to share it with the people of the Philippines!

Why I am a Mormon

Even though I was raised in the LDS faith my whole life, I still had to become personally converted. I have always loved the Gospel but I didn't always know why. When I was 13 years old I really began to take the Gospel to a personal note and tried to find out where I stood in my belief in it. I began reading the Book of Mormon and decided to pray about it. I felt good and warm inside but I still wasn't entirely convinced. When I was 15 my search had still continued. The summer after I had turned 15, I was asked to be a youth leader in a youth conference that I would be attending. I accepted of course. While I was serving in this leadership position I lost myself in the service of others and finally found why I love the Gospel of Jesus Christ. Even though I had known all along, I still had to find why. The teachings of the Gospel that I got to share with other youth from my area and the service that I was able to give showed me what it means to be a true disciple of Christ. I want to be like that everyday and that is why I am a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints.

How I live my faith

I attend my Sunday meetings every week at 11:00 AM with a grateful heart and an eager spirit to learn. I take the sacrament in remembrance of my Redeemer, Jesus Christ. I visit those that I care about multiple times a month for my home-teaching and always seek opportunities to help all those around me. I read out of my Bible and Book of Mormon almost every day and I attend the LDS institute of religion offered to young adults to learn as much as I can during the week as well. I fast on the first Sunday of each month and always find something meaningful to fast for. I also pay my tithes an offerings on a regular basis and pay a full 10% every time. I attend a ward Family Home Evening or FHE most every Monday. I discuss my religion with everyone as often as I can. I don't drink alcohol, coffee or tea and I don't smoke because I have been commanded not to. I live a chaste life. I love the Gospel and do all that I can to fulfill my duties because I love my Father in Heaven and His son, Jesus Christ.
