Hi I'm Barry

I'm British, joined the Church when I was 28, spent most of my working life teaching Physics. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am married with 5 children and many grandchildren & great grandchildren. Have been a Mormon for 50 years and never a dull moment. Enjoy sharing the great outdoors with family and friends by walking, scouting, swimming and sailing. Have spent most of my working life teaching Physics.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because I know that the teachings of Jesus Christ, in their fullness, have been restored to the earth in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. His gospel, in the Bible and the Book of Mormon, has given me a greater understanding of the purpose of life, how we can return to our Heavenly Father together with much peace and happiness. I love the exciting, inspiring, challenging, perspective that following Jesus Christ brings. Similarly it is an honour and privilege to hold the priesthood and be able to bless the lives of others.

How I live my faith

Life gives us so many opportunities to put our faith into action by Sunday worship, with family and friends, and daily service to others. This I do by visiting and watching over a number of families, serving as a school governor, serving in the Scouting organisation and fulfilling various other assignments as a volunteer in adult and youth groups.
