Hi I'm Julie

I grew up in sunny southern California. I love my family, the smell of the ocean and I am a Mormon.

About Me

I have served a mission among the deaf. I am married, a mother of 4 children; mostly grown now, one at home. A mother-in-law, active in Cub Scouts, animal lover, a "beginner" enthusiast crocheter and origami-est when I can. Oh yes, I do look forward to "gramma-hood".

Why I am a Mormon

I grew up in an LDS home. Unfortunately in my early youth I was the only one that stayed active in the church; that is when I gained my testimony. Not only did I love going to church and being among my fellow members, I loved what was being taught. When I was 13 years old I had come back from a spiritual retreat for the youth called Youth Conference when I heard a testimony from another youth. The testimony from that young man pierced my soul and I knew with conviction that the Gospel was true therefore the church was true. Jesus Christ was the promised Savior, I am a child of God and I have a purpose here. We have an other witness in writing from an ancient people that testify these things are true as well.

How I live my faith

Christ has taught, "Love one another as I have loved you". This basic principle is part of who I am. I do my best to be "Christlike" in my actions and words; it is a daily happening. I am able to do this by serving others. I serve among my fellow members; bringing in meals to members in needed, help move in or out of homes, visit with a "sister" or two at least once a month with a spiritual thought or just be a listening ear. My ward, congregation, participates in giving serve to our community at least twice or more a year. I help in my Community Library with activities and also participate in their "Friend of the Library" program.
