Hi I'm Ashley Halbison

I grew up in Arizona. I am serving a mission in Idaho, Pocatello. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am the youngest of ten children. I love having a big family. I love family get togethers because there is never a dull moment. I am an aunt of 22 nieces and nephews. I have always enjoyed music. It is a big part of my life. I Love to sing and play the piano. I am constantly listening to music. I have been playing piano for about fourteen years and in the past have taught piano. I graduated from high school in 2010. I was in the marching band for two years, took choir for two years, was on the track team for four years and the swim team for two years. I always strive to be the best in everything I do. I am enjoying every minute of my mission and have enjoyed helping people come into The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter - Day Saints.

Why I am a Mormon

I grew up in the LDS church. I always knew that the church was true. I did however, have a time in my life where i was going to church, but i was not doing the things i needed to be doing. I was going through the actions of living the gospel, but i was not fully emerged in the gospel. After about a year of just going through the actions, I decided that I needed to change myself for the better. I began to read my scriptures again and say my prayers, and I learned more about the atonement of Christ. The word I think of when I think about the atonement is amazing. I can not comprehend the amount of pain that Jesus Christ went through for the sins that I have made. That was when my testimony began to grow so much. This gospel has blessed me in more ways than i can say. Without the gospel, I don't know where I would be in my life. With the blessings i have received, it makes me want to share the gospel with others. I want others to feel the happiness that I have felt. That is why I have decided to serve a mission. To spread the gospel and let others hear about that amazing blessings that they can receive. Heavenly Father has a plan for everyone. And it will always end in happiness. We just need to follow the teachings of the gospel, and listen to the promptings of the Holy Ghost, and we will be able to end up with our Father in heaven once again.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by representing my Savior Jesus Christ and by sharing His gospel. By going out every day and sharing my beliefs with those who do not have the joy of having the gospel in their lives. It is very rewarding to know that I have received enough trust from my Father in Heaven to represent the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter - Day Saints and to be a missionary. Being a member of this church is something that has blessed my life in so many ways and I hope that those that I share this gospel with will accept the teachings that we bring them so that they too can return to our Father in Heaven.
